How a coding agent obtains and stores a Prism API key.

Prism does not offer agent self-signup. The workspace owner issues an API key from the dashboard and passes it to the agent; the agent stores it without exposing it.

Get a key

Ask the workspace owner for an existing PRISM_API_KEY, or have them create one in the Prism dashboard. Store it through the matching Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, or OpenClaw guide. Never repeat the key to the human, log or commit it, or include it in the final response.

The legacy agent-signup endpoints (POST /api/agent-signups and POST /api/agent-signups/verify) are closed and return 403 signup_disabled.
